Mycotoxins are formed by more than twenty species of molds of the genus Aspergillus, among which the most famous are Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus Parasiticus. So far, 18 different types of aflatoxin have been detected, the most important being aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, G2 and M1.
